Rock Wall

Are you tired of the same old thing? For your next adventure come experience the excitement of rock climbing. The state-of-the-art rock wall at the Wellness Center bolsters a 28 feet wall with 10 feet bouldering area that was constructed to replicate natural rock and has modular hand holds.

The Rock Wall is open to all student, faculty and staff. We provide all the gear you need—all you need to bring is yourself!

Our Rock Wall is open to all experience levels, even if you have never climbed before, make plans to stop by and check us out. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will show you all you need to know to make your first ascent.

Still not convinced? The Rock Wall will challenge you mentally, physically, build confidence, enhance your fitness program and meet new people.

Rock Wall Hours

Monday thru Friday – 4 pm to 10 pm
Saturday – 2 pm to 6 pm
Sunday – 4 pm to 10 pm

New to Climbing?

If you're new to climbing or have been climbing only a few times, take our Intro to Climbing class, which is included in both the semester and annual passes. Our knowledgeable staff will teach you how to:

• Properly fit a harness
• Properly communicate
• Belay
• Tie into your harness
• Climbing techniques

Experience Climber?

Complete the Belay check with one of our Rock Wall attendants. The skills checks will cover harness fitting, communication, safety checks, belaying, and tying knots. The cost for this check is FREE.

Competition

Keep an eye our for our bouldering competitions. Check at the wall for details or dates.

Groups

Have a large group of friends? Belong to a sorority or fraternity? Involved with a Student Organization? Come and rent the UND Rock Wall and have the are to yourselves.
